Gmail Follow-Up Reminder ("the Extension") is a Chrome extension that helps users track sent emails and set follow-up reminders inside Gmail. This Privacy Policy explains how the Extension handles your data.

1. Data We Collect

The Extension stores the following data locally on your device only, using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local API:

Email subject lines and recipient addresses of emails you choose to track
Follow-up reminder dates and notes you set
Extension settings (notification preferences, default reminder days)
Pro license key (if purchased), stored locally for validation

No data is stored on external servers. No data is shared with third parties.

Personal identification information

Analytics or usage tracking

3. Permissions Used

storage — Store reminders and settings locally on your device
alarms — Check for due reminders every 5 minutes
notifications — Show desktop alerts when a reminder is due
tabs — Open Gmail compose window for bug reports or support links
host_permissions (mail.google.com) — Inject the Follow Up button into Gmail and detect replies

4. License Key Validation

If you purchase a Pro license, the Extension sends your license key to the LemonSqueezy API (api.lemonsqueezy.com) solely to verify its validity. No other data is transmitted. LemonSqueezy's privacy policy applies to that interaction.

5. Data Retention

All data is stored locally on your device. You can delete all data at any time by uninstalling the Extension or clearing its storage from Chrome's extension settings.

6. Children's Privacy

The Extension is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
